Link4, a leading provider of eInvoicing solutions and an accredited Peppol access point provider, announces increased investment in the New Zealand market.
Established in 2016, Link4 has been servicing clients in New Zealand for 7 years. With an official base in the country, Link4 now aims to better serve its clients and meet the increasing demand for efficient and secure eInvoicing services.
This strategic move aligns with the New Zealand government’s implementation of eInvoicing for B2G and B2B transactions, highlighting the nation’s commitment to digital transformation and enhanced business operations.
The Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment (MBIE) reported that over 280 million B2B invoices are exchanged annually in New Zealand. The efficiency and faster payment capabilities that eInvoicing provides, are projected to be worth billions to businesses and the New Zealand economy.
The expansion comes at a crucial time when the need for streamlined, secure, and efficient invoicing processes is more prevalent than ever. Businesses are increasingly recognising the significant benefits of eInvoicing in reducing costs, improving payment times, and enhancing overall business efficiency.
Traditional invoicing processes in New Zealand lead to an average response time of 25.1 days, as traditional paper invoices can take days or even weeks to be delivered, processed, and paid. In contrast, eInvoicing allows invoices to be sent and received almost instantly, providing clear and accurate payment details. Currently, New Zealand’s Central Government agencies are required to pay 95% of invoices within 10 days and be able to receive eInvoices from their suppliers. This transparency improves cash flow and enhances the customer experience by reducing administrative tasks and ensuring timely payments.
As an accredited Peppol access point provider in New Zealand, Link4 is positioned to support businesses in seamlessly transitioning to eInvoicing and reaping its numerous benefits. 22,543 New Zealand businesses are registered to receive eInvoices and continues to grow each month.
Link4 has already assisted over 5,000 businesses globally in meeting their eInvoicing needs and onboarding them onto the Peppol network which offers substantial business benefits.
Robin Sands, CEO of Link4, stated, “Increasing our focus in New Zealand at this time will help businesses of all sizes enhance their invoicing delivery processes, improve cash flow, and reduce administrative burdens.”
Tim Findlay has joined Link4 as the Business Development Manager for the New Zealand branch. As the former Founder and Managing Director of a leading IT-based firm, Findlay was instrumental in driving growth and innovation, positioning the organisation as a market leader. His vast experience in the New Zealand market spans across Wellington, Auckland, and Christchurch, making him a valuable addition to the growing Link4 team.
“It is important for local businesses to be able to speak with someone based in their country. Who understands their culture and the business landscape,” Sands added. “Tim is a great addition to the team and he will work closely with local businesses and government entities to drive the adoption of eInvoicing and contribute to the country’s digital transformation journey.”
