Australia and New Zealand Transition to PINT A-NZ eInvoicing Standard - Link4 eInvoicing

Australia and New Zealand join a growing list of countries, including Japan and Malaysia, in adopting the Peppol PINT standard. Effective November 15, 2024, all Peppol service providers must support the transmission of PINT A-NZ invoices and credit notes, although the existing ANZ specifications will remain optional until mid-2025.

PINT, an extension of the Peppol BIS 3.0 standard, enhances interoperability while accommodating country-specific eInvoicing requirements. It enables businesses to create invoices that meet the tax and business requirements of both the sender and recipient’s countries, making international transactions smoother. This update replaces the current ANZ Peppol BIS 3.0 specifications and introduces a phased roll out:

November 15, 2024: All Peppol service providers must support PINT A-NZ invoices and credit notes, though the existing ANZ specifications will remain optional.

May 15, 2025: The legacy ANZ specifications will no longer be supported.
